(audio and video)
RCA plugs and sockets are the
common connectors for audio and
video on stereos, TVs, VCRs and
other A/V equipment.

Mini-Phone Connector
(audio, sound cards)
Mini-phone plugs and sockets are used
to attach headphones to tape, CD and
CD-ROM players. They are also used
to connect audio cables into a
sound card.

RJ-11 Connector

RJ-45 Connector

RJ-11 Siemons CAT 3 Voice Connector (telephone)
RJ-11 connectors are the common
plug and socket used to plug a headset
into a telephone and the telephone into
the wall. RJ-11s contain four wires,
but there is a six-wire variation.

RJ-45 Connector
(10BaseT, Type 3 Token Ring)
RJ-45 connectors are a larger
version of the common RJ-11
telephone plug and socket. RJ-45s
are used on 10BaseT "Twisted Pair"
Ethernet as well as with Type 3
Token Ring devices.
