Sustainability in our Materials – Spec is implementing a design for environment (DFE) program. The DFE program consists of the following elements: renewable materials; recycled materials; recyclable and biodegradable materials; end of life management; water management, energy efficiency and air quality.
Sustainability in our Energy and Atmosphere – Spec has developed and is implementing an energy policy based on our commitment to energy conservation and performance. The policy includes a commitment to continual improvement, a commitment to comply with relevant local, regional, and federal regulations, the framework for setting and reviewing objectives and targets, and will be documented and communicated.
Sustainability in our Human and Ecosystem Health - Spec screens all of its facilities for compliance with environmental and health and safety requirements. Spec is compliant with all applicable environmental and health and safety regulations that govern toxic and hazardous substance use and risk management associated with human and ecosystem health.
Sustainability in our Social Responsibility – Spec has ensured employee health and safety by establishing management processes that will detect, avoid or respond to actual and potential threats to the health and safety of personnel.
